Updated COVID-19 Guidance (updated 3/20/2024)
The Maryland Department of Health and Maryland State Department of Education recently endorsed the CDC’s
Respiratory Virus Guidance, and no longer require a 5-day quarantine period for COVID-19. Students and staff are still expected to remain home if they are experiencing symptom(s) associated with any
communicable disease.
If your child develops COVID or any other respiratory or communicable illness, do the following...

Keep them home and away from others for 24 hours.

They may return to school after 24 hours if their symptoms are improving, and they have been
fever-free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medications).
