American Education Week, 2024

Mon, 10/28/2024 - 7:36pm

The Howard County Public School System celebrates American Education Week from November 18 through 22.  Glenwood invites parents and guardians to attend any* of your student’s classes during the week to experience a day in the life of a middle school student. All visitors are asked to do the following for their American Education Week visit:
  • Visit between 8:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. so that we are able to keep the front parking lot open for our buses during arrival and dismissal (if you would like to visit a period 7 class, please find alternate parking, not in the front bus lot).
  • Go directly to the front office to sign in, upon your arrival.
  • Bring your I.D. with you, as you will need it to sign in.
  • Bring a copy of your student’s class schedule:
    • Click here for the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday bell schedule.
    • Click here for the Thursday bell schedule.
  • Refrain from taking photos, videos, or any type of recording during your visit.
  • Sign out in the front office at the conclusion of your visit.
As parking is limited, we suggest the following grade-level visit schedule:
  • November 18 – 19:  8th Grade Families

  • November 20 – 21:  7th Grade Families

  • November 21 – 22:  6th Grade Families

We look forward to your visit during American Education Week!

*Please refrain from visiting classes with substitute teachers.
