Do you have a student who loves to write poems, short stories, or personal essays? Or one who enjoys photography and capturing creative moments on camera? We invite families to encourage their students to participate in a wonderful countywide opportunity.
The Howard County Middle School Creative Works Magazine, Our Voice, is now accepting submissions for this year’s edition. This annual publication highlights outstanding student writing and photography from middle schools across the county.
All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students may submit original poetry, fiction, non-fiction, or photography. Writing submissions are evaluated for originality, creative language, and strong voice. Photography is judged on composition, technique, and creativity.
This is a meaningful way for students to share their perspectives, express themselves creatively, and potentially see their work published in a professional magazine. We encourage families to support and inspire students to submit their work and be part of this exciting opportunity with Our Voice!
