The Howard County Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission encourages all eligible students to participate in its annual essay contest, poster contest, and oratory contest.
The event theme this year is: “Promoting Peace: Within Yourself, Your Community and the World!”
The commission is seeking:
- School-age contestants for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission 2022 Essay, Poster, and Oratory Contests.
- Nominations for the “Living the Dream Award” which celebrates a student, individual and an organization whose outreach efforts are in alignment with Dr. King’s message and vision.
The deadline for all contests is October 31, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Entries must be received via email to MLK@howardcountymd.gov or hand-delivered/mailed to:
