This fall, students in grades 6-8 will take the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment, as they do each year. The data from the MAP assessment will help schools and teachers measure your student’s academic progress. The MAP test does not affect grades and the difficulty adjusts depending on how your child responds. It is normal for students to only answer about half the questions correctly. Fall 2026 MAP testing is scheduled as follows:
- Reading MAP: September 23, 24 and 25
- Math MAP: September 28, 29 and October 1
All students will engage in both ELA and math tests, except the following groups:
- English 8 GT students (reading exempt)
- 7th grade & 8th grade Algebra students (math exempt)
- 8th grade Geometry (math exempt)
