The Howard County Public School System celebrates American Education Week from November 17 through 21, 2025. Glenwood invites parents and guardians to attend any* of your student’s classes during the week to experience a day in the life of a middle school student. All visitors are asked to do the following for their American Education Week visit:
- Visit between 8:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. so that we are able to keep the front parking lot open for our buses during arrival and dismissal (if you would like to visit a period 7 class, please find alternate parking, not in the front bus lot).
- Go directly to the front office to sign in, upon your arrival.
- Bring your I.D. with you, as you will need it to sign in.
- Bring a copy of your student’s class schedule:
- Click here for the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday bell schedule.
- Click here for the Thursday bell schedule.
- Refrain from taking photos, videos, or any type of recording during your visit.
- Sign out in the front office at the conclusion of your visit.
As parking is limited, we suggest the following grade-level visit schedule:
- November 17 – 18: 8th Grade Families
- November 19 – 20: 7th Grade Families
- November 20 – 21: 6th Grade Families
We look forward to your visit during American Education Week!
*Please refrain from visiting classes with substitute teachers.
