Good Evening Glenwood Families,

As I write this email, I am confident that we are ready to welcome back our students tomorrow! Just a reminder to our students that tomorrow is a “B-day.”

Today, the remaining student items left in classrooms at Glenwood were transferred to Bushy Park. If your child was unable to pick up his or her belongings from Glenwood, please have them see Mrs. O’Byrne first thing in the morning.

In a sign of support for our school and community, I am asking all students to wear their Glenwood gear tomorrow. Our staff will be in their Glenwood gear as well.

Logistics for the upcoming week

Music Sectionals

There will be no sectionals this week. As a result, 7th and 8th grade students will NOT be transporting their instruments to Dayton Oaks (DOES) and Marriotts Ridge (MRHS). They should still report with their instruments to Bushy Park as we will have 1st period there.

Health Related Concerns

A comprehensive health plan has been worked out to make sure that the medications and other necessary items for our 7th and 8th grade students are transported with them to DOES and MRHS and then back to Bushy Park.

Reminders:

  • Our arrival time has NOT changed. For parent drop-off, we are asking that you enter via Carrs Mill Road and follow the loop around. Students will enter the building and be directed by staff members where to go. I, along with assistant principal, Debra O’Byrne, will address the students to explain how their day will unfold.
  • Here are the addresses for each school:
    • Bushy Park Elementary School,  14601 Carrs Mill Road  Glenwood, MD 21738
    • Dayton Oaks Elementary School, 4691 Ten Oaks Road  Dayton, MD 21036
    • Marriotts Ridge High School, 12100 Woodford Drive  Mariottsville, MD 21104

I am sure I speak for the staff when I say that we are sooo excited to see our students tomorrow.

Have a fantastic evening,

Robert A. Motley, Principal
